Well...
First off, there was many problems. One was the bass. I am assuming that you used a bass VSTi. Well, in a midi, the bass is in the lower octaves because the midi-instruments have uniform pitch. You need to raise the pitch by 2 octaves to get the sound you need. Now, the bass just blends in the sub levels.
I dislike the lead. It is a bit annoying and doesn't blend well with the bass. I would suggest a dual vintage saw with and underlying sine^2 and a slight pitch difference between the 2 saws. That is the "trance anthem" that you hear so often.
Next, the countermelody was nowhere near strong enough. You used a pad, rather than the intended strings, so it was barely hearable over the new bass section.
I dislike the drums. They stay the same and when you want them to change because it is a necessary element of the song (where the straight eighth melody switches to the eighth-sixteenth melody), it doesn't change. The drums stay the same pretty much the whole time, except when they are not supposed to change.
Well, I have my own popcorn remix, take a look at that, its pretty different than yours and uses a lot of elements that you should use.
