Nice Job!

I actually really liked this!

The best part is how it starts out very ambient and turns into something with substance.

The main melody part is spooky and does a very good job of emphasizing that role.

The FX used really made the song. It would be unbearable for the first minute if the small, subtle changes in the FX didn't happen.

It is a good song, very ambient and creepy, yet having a good melody line.

Keep it up!

Really Good!

I really thought this was good! It was very video game-esque and had a nice melody line.

It reminded me of the old-fashioned 16-bit game music with its simplicity and melodic patterns. I can see it being used in a video game remake.

The main synth was awesome and really drove it along. The song was bouncy and happy, and had a good feeling to it!

I would suggest more instruments, to give some background noise. The main synth was repetitive, but if you added a background, you could subtly alter that and it would make a large difference!

I love the drums, they get the point across well. What program do you use?

Next time, I would suggest a slightly shorter intro.

Other than the above issues, it was a very good song. Keep it up!

Again, thanks for the review! As for my program, I use FL Studio 7. If you'd like to know where to get ahold of it, send me an email at erichfinkle@msn.com.

Great!

I really love the ravey trance style used here! There are a bunch of good things here!

The piano in the beginning really shows emotion well, and sets a good mood for the tune.

The repeating kicks were also very good, as they established the style. In fact, the repeating sections were overall very good!

My only qualm was with the end. It ended rather quickly. I think a good ending should have some sort of falling action before the cut off.

Very good job, keep it up!

I liked doing this one. You can tell it was done early on in my days, though. (I hadn't discovered Fruity Reeverb yet!) Thanks for your review, as always, Navi!

Some Minor Stuff

It was a very good remix, albeit short. It had some very good features and some very bad.

I really liked the drums, the clap got the feeling across well. I also liked how the guitar blended with the synth.

There was also a few problems. I don't think that the main melody which kicks in later is strong enough, it needs to be louder.

This remix is also short, which is not necessarily a bad thing, just can get annoying sometimes.

I also didn't really like the articulation behind the melody in the beginning. Also, I didn't like the metallic echo that the main synth had in the beginning.

Otherwise, good song!

Thanks for the feedback, mate. It's not perfect, but it was fun! ^^

Nice!

I actually really liked this! It gets the song across very well.

The main synthesizer was awesome and fit the genre very well.

I also liked how the drums actually varied within parts, unlike a long looping drum part.

It is good to have different parts and variation, and you accomplished it quite nicely! Keep it up!

Whoa!! A really fast response, and a GOOD one, too! Thanks for your review!

I made it late one night when my internet was out. ^^;

Some Good+Some Bad

I liked it! It captured the melody well, also the choice of instrument(s) was nice.

I didn't like the drums, not because of the rhythm, but because of lack of variation. I might be a little biased because of other remixes, but the drums were definitely not varied enough and slightly unsuited to the song.

Another problem was that there wasn't enough going on. There was no background music to give it fullness.

I liked the concept of a 2 instrument song. It was, well, interesting.

I have heard a bunch of Mario tributes, and yours is pretty good! Keep it up!

Yorou responds:

I thought the drums sounded really cool, until the second time I listened to it(yes, I listen to my own music!). Then, it just sounded stupid.
Hmm. I thought I put plenty of layers in the synth to make harmony, but I guess that didn't come out right either. Ah well, thanx for reviewing!

Good Job!

I actually liked this song a lot! I especially liked how the drums blended with the melody. Keep it up.

Also, a more appropriate category would be D&B.

Chrispington responds:

Thanks dewd!

Interesting, but factually incorrect

The truth is that 8-bit games can use multiple sounds. See Sonic the Hedgehog for Game-Gear.

It was interesting. You could turn it into something good if you kept this main melody and added some other instruments. Alone though, it is OK but does not reach its full potential.

Really Good!

The intro was mad long, way too long for most good songs, but in this song it actually did a good job. The intro set up the climax, which is where it gained energy.

The end part was very "epic" sounding, like in comparison to game music from World of Warcraft. Overall, it was a good song, though the intro could use some shortening.

Also note that not all songs that use stereo are liked by headphone users!

I Like It!

It was a good mix of a good song! I actually have always liked the synth for that song and you made my day by giving it to me in a song without shitty vocals!

It was good, the volume/fade effects were very nice.
