I wish the milkman would deliver my milk...
W00t, ambient. This sounds fun.
My first issue is the crackling filter resonance along the track. That's easily fixable... by me... with a bit of mastering.
Hmm... The 909 snare seems a bit out of place. Try highpassing it and adding some reverb or delay to make it feel more ambient.
My god, there is tooooo much crackling resonance!! Turn down the filter rez, or add some noise removal!
Where's the kick?
Yum, I like the scratches! And the voice, funneh. I like how it gets decimated at the end and glitched and shit. Its cool sounds like d_blue glitch, though. Again more annoying resonance... And it ends.
Overall, I liked its atmosphere, but that noisy resonance really put a dampener on how good the song sounded... try getting rid of that resonance, and you'd have a really nice ambient tune...
Review returned.
Wewt
A new track, looking foward to it.
The bass sounds like an unbended and offbeat Benassi Bass, meaning saws EQed up at low and mid low.
The track itself was cool. The part that particularly stood out to me was the square melody synth, it was cool, but stuck out a lot, which is not necessarily a bad thing.
The drums were bad, unless you meant for them all to be synced noise. If I wanted drums like that, I would use 808 samples or an 808 vst.
The vox didn't really add to the song, but I guess they fit, kind of.
My main issue is that the track didn't follow any structure at all! It just kinda glided into 3 main parts. Nothing was brought up again once it was over! I would have liked a bit of repetition, or repeated parts.
Overall, I think its kinda what people were expecting from you! Nice work!
I was trying to make it sound like minimal techno, so yes the noise drums were intentional. As for the song structure... I have a tendency of making it as diverse as I can, because NG and the listeners whine about it so much... so im actually scared of repeating something =/
Liquid Insanity...
Watch your back... OCRemix is coming.
So...
I was looking through my old reviews, and I noticed that I had reviewed a lot of your songs in the past. Now, I decided to do it again, but this time with much more experience.
First off, the mixing wasn't great. You should have EQed up the low end of the song to emphasize the kick, it was almost unhearable under the synths. An alternative would be to cut the high off the kick, and slap a maximizer on it to increase its sound.
The synths were not amazing, but they worked. It felt like one of those over-melodic trance tunes.
You need to learn one thing, though. Tension and Release are the most important parts of a song. It MUST build, and break, or it will be boring. This song kinda kept going, with some minor builds along the way.
Overall, the harmony and melody were nice, but I don't think that the orchestral hits really fit.
Aside from this criticism, I think that you have improved greatly, and are becoming a better artist than most of NG. If you use FL, I might want to collab with you... I too am much better than I was in January.
Overall, it was a nice song, much better than most NG songs, but the mixing was somewhat lacking, and there was no mastering at all. (Wiki mastering, it is not the same as mixing). Overall, 9/10.
Cool!
Where have you been :'(?
OMG
This song is hilarious! Do one for the newest one... wait, no don't. It'd be the same stuff.
anti-pussy = penis?
Revooo Time
Ok, I like the intro, 'twas cool and tappy, I guess... Nice feeling...
The build wasn't as I would've liked. It needed more tension and release, as that is what appeals... try starting a roll earlier.
The vocals were teh funny. Nice touch.
The reese was oh so nice sounding, fun yes. Like Zenon said, there was no break, or anything to showcase the reese, and make it sound cool with the drums. The reese itself had a good texture, but I would've liked to hear a bit more of it, on a more sustained note. Try making an automation with a longer build to show case the reese.
I think that the mid section needs more soft synths, but that snare is insane. Add some more synths, it feels a bit empty.
Overall, I like where it is going... and how much it has evolved from "muthafuckingsnakes.mp3". Keep it up d00d. I hope to hear the full version here, or at least SOMEWHERE!
I like!
First off, nice mixing and use of a stereo enhancer, it really made it feel nice in my head (whatever that means).
Nice incorporation of the 808, makes it feel a bit like Synthtron/Electroclash.
I don't like how the bass melody harmonized with the pads. It felt a bit off. Try changing that bottom note.
I like the pads, but maybe you could have picked something other than a generic violin section for the strings.
Overall, I like the drums and pads, but the bass is off. Since you can edit audio now, that it easily fixable!
8/10, and if you feel like it, maybe you could check out my most recent tune, thanks!
AHHHH!!!
Yes, that is a preset melody.... At least make your own melodies.
And yes, those are FL preset samples...
Dude... try making your own samples, and your own melodies. That second melody sounded like crap, due to a preset. Do your own gating, melodies, drums, etc. The drum rhythms were actually acceptable..
Now, it doesn't feel like mario AT ALL. More like FL preset.
For mario, open up a 3xOsc, and change all of the Oscillators to squares. Then make them all on the same pitch. That will give a square note, the basic Video Game Note. Then, make your own melody, using synth bleeps and noise bleeps for drums, rather than presets.
