Sucks ass

Congratulations, you know what a MIDI is.

Diabolo-ical responds:

Odd, I never noticed this review before. Probably because I was too busy lapping up the praise?

Go jump off a cliff.

Hell Yeah Foo

NICE MAN I'D TOTALLY SKEET ALL OVAH DAT SONG.

In all seriousness, it was an awesome song!

I like how the drums were synced in the first part. Is that an FL preset snare I hear? Naughty naughty! AIM me for some GREAT samples.

I like the lead, however, I would have liked something intended for melodicness more, if you know what I mean. Have you ever heard Slam Down by Rob Mayth? That is the type of lead I would expect.

The kick was OK, it wasn't powerful enough and could use a bit more EQing. The song ended a bit abruptly, but it fit.

Overall, aside from my criticism, it was an awesome song! Keep up the good work!

dj-skeetskeet-69 responds:

skeet. boo for accidental 0! yay for drum samples!

Nice!!

Great remix, I still have a few problems, though.

I think that lead overpowers. Slap a compressor on it and you will be fine!

The bass is classic, and nice! Really, that was a nice touch! It does go too low at times, distorting the sound.

The crowd cheering was corny, don't use it, unless you are GroundForce or B0UNC3.

The beat needs more variation, again. Use different percussive instruments!

Overall, nice job! Keep it up!

TMM43 responds:

Thanks for the review navij11.
The lead is kinda loud...I don't think I'm going to change it any time soon though.
I'm sorry that you felt the cheering was corny. I honestly am in love with the cheering sound effect, no matter who's or what song it is. I, personally, thought I did an ok job with the cheering. Guess not.
I just got Vengeance Clubsounds, and I'm trying out the new sounds on different songs, like this one. So you will have to excuse me for the lack of percussive sounds.
Well I really appreciate your review. I'm always up for some constructive criticism. Thanks.

Nice...

Great work! I like the piano!

I think that the first entrance was a bit too sudden. It just came in, no automation, anything.

The beat was pretty plain. Add claps, snare, hats, anything to spice it up a bit!

I think it needed more supporting instruments, doing different things. It sounded a bit plain.

Overall, nice track! Keep it up!

TMM43 responds:

Navij11,
That's the way I wanted this piece to sound. I wanted to break out of the norm by making the melody and what not come in unexpected like.
Like I said in my other comment to your other review, I just got a new program and therefore am trying out new sounds. I WILL however work on the kicks, claps, hats, and what not.
Thank you for your review.

Interesting...

It was interesting...

I like the melodic work, but the lead could be better. What are you using? Try z3ta or attempt to make your own with 3xOsc, but that is hard.

The reverb effect was nice! Really, it made the drumming feel more full.

I didn't really feel like it broke during the breaks.

This was a good song. It just kept looping, I don't really know what to think of it! It is very unique! Keep it up!

TMM43 responds:

Thanks for your review.
I use FL 6 and FL7, I'm not sure which one I used for this one. I have z3ta+, Vanguard, and Vengeance Essential Clubsounds 2. The lead in this piece is a preset of VEC. I was messing around with it, and liked how it sounded in this song.
Thanks for your time and review! I really enjoy criticism!

Hey!

Well, since you seem to be reviewing everyone nowadays, I'll review you!

First off, this was not DnB. The drums are not complex at all. Try using sliced beats, or more complex drums such as 2-stepping, amen breaks, and others.

You almost got the bass. It gets loud at times, so you should use a compressor. You have the growling animal thing, but you should automate some filters, so the bass talks.

This was more like gabber than DnB. Some good Newgrounds DnB artists are ParagonX9 and Karbon. The best DnB artist here is API. He even got signed and is now a pro. Look at their stuff and try to replicate the drums.

Wait... I know what happened with the bass. Go to the sampler you used and uncheck the "use loop points" box. That will stop it from increasing in volume.

TMM43 responds:

Yeah, the guy under this review told me it wasn't a DNB...I'm sorry for putting this song in the wrong genre.
I wanted the bass to be loud. I'm really into loud kicks with loud bass, as you maybe able to tell.
I took your advice and listened to Karbon and Paragon, and well, I don't think I can make DNB like they can! haha. I'm not really a percussion person, I lean more towards the trance and techno feel.
Thanks a lot for your review! I will review you back!

Amazing...

You have really outdone yourself here. This is an amazing track. Really. I put it on my playlist next to Tiesto and Faithless.

I love this track. Usually, when a DnB maker goes to trance, one of 2 things will happen. Either it will be DnB with a lead, or it will be trance with incredible drumwork. You were the better, and the latter. The drumming in this song is 1000x better than in most trance songs! I see that you didn't follow the overused "kick, clap, kick, clap" formula. Great job on the drums.

For the "Oh, no," I can't tell whether that is a synth or a vocal synthesizer. I have heard (and made) basses that talk, but here it is so good that I cannot be sure.

The choir was a very nice touch and it brought out the other, background elements of the piece.

Awesome song, make more trance, please!

TheComet responds:

I've got a remix of this song in the works with a slightly harder kicker (heh..lost the old one go figure), maybe with a mix of acid and goa a little, who knows?
The Oh No was actually a text to speech voice with a saw bass synth mixed in.

Glad you liked the song, trance and dance stuff is pretty much what I used to do until I made Incapitation, so I'm glad I havn't lost my old touch :D

LOLMEMORIES

Well, it brings back memories. Sytrus presets =O... Stay away from them!!! Make your own sounds, or use something not as easily recognizable. Really, presets=bad, and Sytrus is a powerful program, I am sure you can whip something up that will own this bell preset (hell, even I can!).

Well, the drums are nice and varied, and the background is nice. I always hated Deoxys though, I don't know why! The music was good, but really, stay away from presets. Also, get your master volume automation to be SMOOTHER. You should maybe mix a bit better and use automation to help you out!

Chao-Guy responds:

Sytrus? I use Fruity Loops Studio 6.
And presets, wha? I don't do music! I just click and drag stuff and good stuff sometimes happens, lol!
But if you mean use a better bell, I know what you mean. I defintely will try to get smoother volume.

Thank you for the advice,
Keep it up!

Very Nice Track!

Really, it was very good! I am assuming that the lead is z3ta, although I could be wrong.

It seems a little repetitive! Try and make longer melodic phrases, to keep the lead interesting! The break was a necessary touch, but you really need more melodic work.

Also, you need to mix a bit better. The lead seems to overpower everything. Try turning it down a bit!

Nice generic trance bass! I'd moog to it! Really, though, it works, its classic, whats not to like?

Great song, keep it up, maybe a little less repetitive next time!

PS. Make the kick BIGGER.

Intracate responds:

Thanks for your review and Helpful tips, next time I will take more consideration into my mixing. And as for the lead I used Vanguard.
