curious, are there any advantages to setting up speakers like that or is it just a space thing?
Just space ;) I'd prefer to have them slightly lower, at ear level, but I don't have room.

That monitor looked like one from the late 90's.
Wouldn't surprise me. I haven't upgraded that for years.
You must have a really long neck to have those monitors at ear level.
They're not at ear level. I'm a few inches below them =\ But I don't have a better place to put them (and they ARE at ear level when standing... good for mixing vinyl).

No sir I have some great electronic stuff on vinyl just waiting to be played! (But maybe if I had the LP I'd play that too. Wouldn't sound great though. Albums have small grooves)
