Progress is slow. Getting there, though.

you know im learning guitar also. the progress will be VERY slow, cuz ive been taking lessons for about 5 weeks now, and ive actually learned quite a lot. i guess what im trying to say is, just stay with it, and dont give up, because if you do, youll have a guitar sitting in the corner for a year gathering dust like mine did. but i finally got off my lazy ass and just started taking lessons. so hey, to a fellow guitar learner, i say good luck, and kave fun!

Well, a fundamental sort of shift had to occur in my thinking before I took it up. I'm not taking lessons. I'm doing it because I want to do it.

I had tried playing bass years ago. I was taking lessons and practicing. I hated it. I hated practicing. I hated lessons.

I started playing guitar because I wanted to play guitar. I don't mind practicing: in fact, I enjoy it. I've been trying to do at least 15 minutes every day, even though I'm pretty busy here at school. And I'm getting better. Quickly at first, but slower now. I've already got some ideas for songs... I'm glad I started playing.
